Their mistakes in their courtship of Bri make the story even more interesting. Bri’s ex-husband and his cohorts make up a team of some of the vilest villains that I have ever read about. The author gradually builds the romantic tension, as well as the suspense aspects. I have been at the edge of my seat by the end of the story. I really like Bri’s character and understand her need for secrecy, despite the unusually open society in Love’s Bayou. The other characters are also very well written and real. I am looking forward to my next trip to Love’s Bayou."

Clay softened, and he smiled, “Darlin’, you shouldn’t be hiding. You look too pretty to be in here all by yourself. Blade doesn’t she look pretty?”
Blade moved behind her pressing himself against her, his hands slowly traveled from her shoulder to her ass and circled each cheek then gave a light squeeze. “Pretty enough to eat,” his southern drawl more apparent.
Clay’s fingers touched her cheek, skimmed down her neck to her collarbone. Then, ever so slowly, they brushed just under the curve of her top slowing over each areola all the way to the opposite collarbone. “To suckle.” His lips whispered in her ear, then moved to brush her lips as he moved closer, his erection pressing into her stomach.
Blade’s lips brushed gently against the back of her neck.
Bri tensed at their attentions; she couldn’t allow this, she was their boss. She struggled with her senses while her body wanted to respond. Moving a step closer, Clay looked in her eyes and said softly. “Some of us know how to cherish a woman.”
She didn’t reply as she backed up and hurried out the same way she came.

Tie Me Up Tuesday ~ No You Don't

In doing research for Trust Us, I had occasions to be on various BDSM sites. It amazes me how many strange men who message me and want to tie me up before getting to know me. One thing I have learned is safety first; no bondage on the first meeting. Most responsible people that I have met in the lifestyle adhere to the principles of safe, sane, and consensual practices.

Broadway Getaway

When Lance learned that the Broadway musical, The Lion King, would be at The Mahalia Jackson Theater in New Orleans, he knew that this would be the perfect weekend getaway for him and Callie. Bri’s Birthday Surprise

Bri’s Birthday Surprise 
There are a lot of birthdays to celebrate this month. Besides Carrie Ann’s, the coordinator of the Birthday Hop, mine and Bri’s are also this month. 


Clay and Blade surprise Bri with a weekend getaway to a secluded coastal resort since the beach is one of her favorite places. The reservations included exclusive use of a cottage surrounded on three sides by a six-foot privacy fence. 
French doors in the bedroom open to a deck with steps leading to the inviting white sands beach.
Bri had been aware as she exited the car that the only sounds she heard was those of the seagulls and lapping waves.

Sarah's Crawfish Etouffee

Chef Sarah, of Love's Bayou Bistro, shares her recipe for Crawfish Etouffee.


Ingredients
3 tablespoons butter
2 cups chopped onions
1/4 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup chopped green bell peppers
1 pound peeled crawfish tails
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 8 oz can of tomato sauce
2 tablespoons of tomato paste
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon salt *
Pinch of cayenne *
Pinch of Black Pepper *
1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley
1/4 cup chopped green onions


Directions
In a medium saute pan over medium high heat, melt the butter. Add the onions, celery, and bell peppers and saute until the vegetables are wilted, about 10 to 12 minutes. Set aside. 
In a 5 or 6 quart pot add tomato sauce and paste, brown on medium high heat for 20 minutes stirring constantly not to burn. Stir in water.
Add the crawfish, garlic, and saute mixture and reduce the heat to medium. Season with salt, black pepper, and cayenne. Cook the crawfish for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in the parsley and green onions and continue cooking for 3 minutes. Serve over steamed rice.
* Can use 1 to 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning instead of salt and pepper.

St. Patrick's Day in Love's Bayou


The Community House of Love’s Bayou was decorated with green roses and streamers. Tables were set with green tablecloths, green plates, and crystal goblets from Ireland.
Irish music played softly in the background, while the aroma of Colcannon and Guinness Bread wafted through the room. Colcannon is a traditional Irish dish of cabbage, potatoes, onions, and bacon.
Dessert consisted of green shamrock shaped cookies and little white rounds of cream cheese and coconut.
After the banquet, some in the community returned to their homes, while others dispersed to Club Amour for more intimate and intense celebration.
