Who Are You?

So many in this world have no clue who they really are. Most try to portray themselves as others want them to be. However, can one be someone or something they are not? Many have changed who they are to please others so many times that they have no idea who they really are anymore.

Then there are those who take on a persona façade all the time.

Many have two sides, one for the public and one for at home. For some, the job demands we act a certain way, yet our true self is still present.

In order to know what one has to offer and need, one must be honest with oneself. Take an in-depth look at yourself. See the person you really are, not the one you portray.

Therefore, consider carefully who the person is in the mirror, not the person you want to be, but the one staring back at you. As you do this, be brutally honest with yourself. Do this over a period of time, dig deep down into your soul and uncover your true self. Afterwards, write down who you are, what you have to offer, and what you need in return.

Honesty is a crucial part to building a deeply meaningful and fulfilling relationship. We should all know what we have to offer and need in order to have successful relationships.

Needless to say, if we do not know who we truly are, how is anyone else to know?
