Soul Mate Sunday

Over the past weeks, I have been posting articles that I have written inspired by men who are frogs.

After spending another birthday with my girl pals, I have started my soul mate search in earnest.

I made a detailed list of what I want in a soul mate, so the universe will know exactly what I am looking for.

For those who want to find your soul mate, start by making a list of traits of your perfect partner. The list must be very specific not omitting any details.

Cast your vote in the soul mate poll on the right.

Friend Friday ~ Murals of Lust

Featured this week is one of my favorite poems from Raavee. It's in Murals of Lust by Raavee and Shey.

Good Morning
by Raavee

My journey had some rain
The wind too came to Me
Whispering in My ears
What are you looking at?
It said, the sky?
The bay?
I closed My eyes and smiled,
"It is what you don't see" I said.
The woman on bed,
Writhing and restless
Even in deep sleep
As she dreams of Me
Holding her in My arms
And kissing her naked back.
Trying to wake her up
For some amorous moments
In torrid unison and breathlessness.
Just to Good Morning oh woman!

Hump Day Snippets 6 ~ Double the Fun!

This week's hump day snippet comes from Sara B. Sara B. is a new writer of erotic romance, and this is her first tentative venture into the realm of menage.

Double the Fun!

Feeling wrapped and trapped in my sheets, I struggled to move as I tried to make myself wake up.

Opening my eyes, I was startled to find myself gazing into the eyes of Brock, the pool boy. His hot, insistent body pressed closer, and his huge hands grasped both my breasts and tweaked the already turgid nipples with his thumbs.

His lips moved swiftly to capture my moaning yelp, as his legs deftly and gently moved and spread my legs. Moving his hips, he made his bouncing hardness go between my spread legs. The rigid phallus moved up and down my slit, impatiently teasing, as if it had a mind of its own.

My hips squirmed under his touch, and then I shuddered and panicked as I realized another set of hands was spreading my ass cheeks, and another hot, throbbing cock moved between my parted cheeks.

Hot breath behind me and sharp quick bites on my neck made me struggle and push against both bodies until a soft, deep voice whispered in my ear, "Relax and enjoy. We are here to service and please you, and would never hurt you." Recognizing the voice of my gardener, Slade, I not only relaxed, but surrendered to the sensual caresses and kisses of the two hottest men I'd ever known.

As they sensed my submission, Brock moved a hand from a breast to my clit, massaging it urgently with his thumb, while other fingers parted my swollen lips for his dripping cock.
Meanwhile, Slade slid his throbbing shaft up and down my butt crack as his pre-cum moistened thumb gently massaged and pressed my anus. With his other hand, he reached around me and cupped, squeezed, and kneaded the breast abandoned by Brock.

My scortching juices gushed forth and my pussy clenched and released in thunderous spasms.

The sounds of my gasping screams were drowned out by the harsh and discordant clanging and ringing of my alarm clock. What? How?

Panting, flushed, and spent, I realized my night of ecstasy had been but a dream. Damn!

Tie Me Up Tuesday ~ Is It Not Art?

Today's post is from Murals of Lust by Raavee and Shey, with their permission.

Is It Not Art?

by Shey

When the brush blends the paint on the canvas of a serene landscape.
When words that touch your soul flow from the ink-filled quill onto parchment.
When the harden wax lays in delicate trails along the contours of the flesh.
When chains hold her posed like a statue of Venus.
When the knots of entwined rope binds accentuating every curve.
When the redden stripes from the cane marks patterns of crisscrosses.
Is it not art?

Have You Found Yours?

Recently I read an article about a woman finding her soul mate and they are still blissfully together after ten years. It occurred to me that I have never found mine, just a bunch of frogs.

After mentioning this to a friend of mine, she had admitted she had never found hers either. While talking about this further, we both wondered how many people actually have found their soul mate.

Please take time to read and respond to the poll on the right.

And on that note...

Hope

By Heaven O'Shey

In a dark and smoky room
The back corner
She sits
Night after night
They approach her
Attempting to impress
She offers a halfhearted smile
Refuses politely
And questions
If such a one exists
A mate to her
Heart and soul
Her hope wavers
Yet she will wait
For a time
Until hope is loss

Hope and many other heartfelt poems can be found in
A Sensual Thought.

What's in it for Me?

Principles

Are you a person of principle? Do others see you as such?

In the past, a man’s word was his bond. How many can say that in this day and age? I wonder? Too many are only concerned for themselves, and in the process have forsaken basic principles taught to them by their ancestors. Most can look back on their grandfather’s life and see a man who never wavered on his word.

Today many will say or do anything to gain whatever they are after. Their only thoughts seem to be, “What’s in it for me?” When their life is over will anyone sing their praises? Will they say that person was one of integrity?

Do you stand up for what is right, or do what is easy?

Remember the Golden Rule. Treat others as you would like to be treated. Live your life by this and you will be remembered fondly.

Friend Friday ~ Don't Shoot Yourself in the Foot

As a avid reader and book lover, as well as an active editor, I have great respect for the creative effort of those who are able to express themselves well as they inform, amuse, thrill, and generally entertain me.

In the course of my work, I usually tend to proofread, edit, and correct mistakes that I find. However, mellow old farts like me tend to be in the minority in the literary world. In talking with colleagues, there are things that writers do which bother us all. Writers should beware of becoming lazy and careless, lest from excellent work over which they labored be rejected because of simple and easily remedied errors.

These are just a few of the pet peeves editors have with authors’ works:

Stifling Your Muse

In poring over some authors’ fiction works, I am struck by what starts as a good premise degenerates into more of a essay or a report. Rules of writing are meant to help one express themselves clearly. They are not meant to inhibit or curtail authors’ imagination. Take a deep breath, dare to dream, and write from your soul. Does what you have written make you excited, sad, amused, or hot? If so, chances are that enthusiasm will be communicated to and felt by your reader.

Point of View

Are you really sure who is telling your story? If you are writing in the first person, remember that you cannot get inside of the head of other characters. In you are writing in the third person be careful of too many shifting, conflicting, and confusing points of view. While showing different characters thoughts and feelings it’s a good thing, especially with a smooth and logical transition, you don’t want to have your reader dizzy and disoriented from constantly switching back and forth.

Ignoring the Rules

Not heeding rules of grammar and punctuation can be a fatal with some editors and publishers. If your not sure, look it up. It matters. Literary license is one thing. Laziness is inexcusable. Fragmented or one word sentences for dramatic emphasis and effect are acceptable, provided they are not a recurring element. Otherwise, their use shout that the author has no grasp of basic writing skills, or respect for the reader.

Too Many Subplots

Subplots can help generate suspense and add depth to a story. Too many of them however, merely leave a reader wondering what the heck is going on and why.

Yawn Time

Too much description and explanation, in lieu of action related to the plot, can bring a good story down in a hurry. Readers don’t really need to know every detail about every minor character. Don’t do it.

There is a reason for a rough draft. While you should not edit and correct when you are first writing your story and letting your creative juices flow, do take time later to go over your work and ensure it’s the best it can be.

Hump Day Snippets 5 ~ Doesn't Count If You Don't Cum

Megan, of Love’s Bayou, having passed the period mourning for late husband, felt a longing for male companionship. Even though Megan lives in Love’s Bayou she is not involved with the lifestyle.

One day when Megan was shopping trip for material for her designer clothing, she met a man. After several dates and getting to know him, she was comfortable in taking the relationship to the next level.

After the long awaited night, Megan found herself unfulfilled, unsatisfied, and even more frustrated than she was before she met the man.

Megan found herself wondering if possibly a Master would be a better lover.

Stay tuned for Megan’s story, another book in the Love’s Bayou series, coming soon. (Pun intended)

P Is For Plot

Here is my contribution for the A-Z Challenge on The Masquerade Crew's blog.

P is for Plot

In the literary world, the plot is the sequence of events of the story. When mapping out your story, you should have an idea of the direction in which you want to take the reader. Your story should entice the reader to keep reading and having a well-thought out plot will accomplish this goal.

The plot should be credible and imaginative, yet not so far fetched that the reader cannot grasp what your story is conveying. Put yourself in the readers minds when outlining your work. Is this story believable? Does it keep you on the edge of your seat? Does it encourage you to keep reading?

Another point about plots, is that it is a good idea to avoid having too many subplots in your book. You do not want to confuse the reader by leading them in a different direction on every page. Too many plots will discourage the reader from finishing the book. One or two subplots are enough to keep the reader intrigued enough to want to see where the story is leading.

In conclusion the plot should have a climactic ending, which leaves the reader saying “Wow, that was a good book!”

Tie Me Up Tuesday

This is the first installment of Tie Me Up Tuesday. Today’s post is from Murals of Lust by Raavee and Shey.

Shey, my naughty twin, writes intensely evocative prose and poetry. Her work is frequently romantic, erotic, and often BDSM related as well.

With her permission, one of her most popular and powerful poems is featured today.

Trust
by Shey

I lay naked and alone on the beach
Upon the towel, another acts as my pillow
My ankles are bound to stakes
Along with one wrist and the bicep of my other arm
My head bound I can only see ahead
The umbrella protects my skin from the scorching sun
Another hour the tide will be rolling in
I can’t break my bounds
Anger invades
He left me here alone
He said, “Think, little one.”
“Think about what?” I called out, but He was gone.
My throat parched, my unbound hand grabs the water filled tumbler
Just enough ease in the bind, my arm bends the straw reaches my lips
The pull of the water slides down my throat
Time passes as I think
The foam tickles the soles of my feet
Seeing the tide move in
I struggle to break free
I see the sun along the horizon
I think
Revelation
Never was I endangered
I was protected from the things that could harm me
My needs were provided
“Trust,” I called out. “I must trust You.”
Footsteps coming closer
He never left me
He’s at my feet loosening my binds
I’m freed
He’s rubbing my legs
“Yes little one, you must trust Me.”

Who Are You?

So many in this world have no clue who they really are. Most try to portray themselves as others want them to be. However, can one be someone or something they are not? Many have changed who they are to please others so many times that they have no idea who they really are anymore.

Then there are those who take on a persona fa├žade all the time.

Many have two sides, one for the public and one for at home. For some, the job demands we act a certain way, yet our true self is still present.

In order to know what one has to offer and need, one must be honest with oneself. Take an in-depth look at yourself. See the person you really are, not the one you portray.

Therefore, consider carefully who the person is in the mirror, not the person you want to be, but the one staring back at you. As you do this, be brutally honest with yourself. Do this over a period of time, dig deep down into your soul and uncover your true self. Afterwards, write down who you are, what you have to offer, and what you need in return.

Honesty is a crucial part to building a deeply meaningful and fulfilling relationship. We should all know what we have to offer and need in order to have successful relationships.

Needless to say, if we do not know who we truly are, how is anyone else to know?

Ribbit Ribbit, I Am Catching Frogs

In my search to find my Prince Charming, I have come across many frogs. You know the frogs I am talking about, the players, trollers, and liars?

The obvious frogs are the ones who demand my attention and want sex the minute I start conversing with them.

Alas, there are those that have studied the playbook. They say and do all the right things. However, they have only mastered the art of deception.

When I do find one that I think might be a real prince, that’s when I need to dig a little deeper. Sometimes it’s hard to see the person behind the persona portrayed. Still, I must be diligent.

All of them claimed be honest, but it’s a different story when I hold them accountable. Therefore, I am like Diogenes, still looking for an honest man.

I have learned to go with my instincts and if he looks, jumps, and croaks like a frog, he probably is.

After catching so many frogs, I’ve decided to get out my frying pan and have fried frog legs for supper. That’s what us Southern girls do.

The Writing on the Wall

Have you ever reflected on the decisions you made in life? Wonder why the outcome you expected was not the one that occurred?

An abundance of time will cause one to reflect. In life, through it’s up and downs and turns, we change, we evolve, and slowly become who we are. Also, things happen for a reason, and not necessarily by chance. Consider our experiences in life as Cause and Effect. This is part of the evolutionary process.

When situations arise that are not to your liking, stop and reflect on them. Take notice where life is leading you. Sometimes we repeat similar experiences until we glean what we are meant to learn from them.

When you see the writing on the wall, you have to do more than just read the message. You have to take action.

Friend Friday with Karen Cote' ~ Join the Fight!

This week's Friday Friend is Karen Cote', who is giving us facts on Diabetes, a growing epidemic.

What is Diabetes?

Diabetes is a lifelong (chronic) disease in which there are high levels of sugar in the blood.

Causes, incidence, and risk factors

Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas to control blood sugar. Diabetes can be caused by too little insulin, resistance to insulin, or both.

To understand diabetes, it is important to first understand the normal process by which food is broken down and used by the body for energy. Several things happen when food is digested:

A sugar called glucose enters the bloodstream. Glucose is a source of fuel for the body.

An organ called the pancreas makes insulin. The role of insulin is to move glucose from the bloodstream into muscle, fat, and liver cells, where it can be used as fuel.

People with diabetes have high blood sugar because their body cannot move sugar into fat, liver, and muscle cells to be stored for energy. This is because either:
-Their pancreas does not make enough insulin
-Their cells do not respond to insulin normally
-Both of the above

There are three major types of diabetes. The causes and risk factors are different for each type:

Type 1 diabetes can occur at any age, but it is most often diagnosed in children, teens, or young adults. In this disease, the body makes little or no insulin. Daily injections of insulin are needed. The exact cause is unknown.

Type 2 diabetes makes up most of diabetes cases. It most often occurs in adulthood, but teens and young adults are now being diagnosed with it because of high obesity rates. Many people with type 2 diabetes do not know they have it.

Gestational diabetes is high blood sugar that develops at any time during pregnancy in a woman who does not have diabetes.

Diabetes affects more than 20 million Americans. Over 40 million Americans have pre-diabetes (early type 2 diabetes).

Symptoms
-High blood sugar levels can cause several symptoms, including:
-Blurry vision
-Excess thirst
-Fatigue
-Frequent urination
-Hunger
-Weight loss

Because type 2 diabetes develops slowly, some people with high blood sugar have no symptoms.

Symptoms of type 1 diabetes develop over a short period of time. People may be very sick by the time they are diagnosed.

A Helping Hand

Sometimes we all can use a little help when tragedy strikes. If you can help, please do, every little bit counts.

The lovely Ms. O'Shey has kindly allowed me to hijack her blog and appeal to her fans on behalf of my son - Joshua Moore. Joshua is an excellent copy-editor. He edits all of my writing, except the erotic romances. A little uncomfortable for a young man to edit his father's erotic romance...

He also put his talents to good use in college editing papers for his fellow students. He was quite sought after having earned a 4.0 GPA throughout his time in college working toward a degree in philosophy. That was before he was diagnosed with Acute T-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia. With that diagnosis came an end to his studies.

At twenty-one Joshua was one semester away from graduating with honors from University of North Carolina, Greensboro. He only attended one week of that last semester. You can read the story of his diagnosis and subsequent treatment on my blog. Joshua is now beginning a three-and-a-half year treatment program.

Because of cancer he is unable to work, yet faces mounting medical bills and repayment of student loans which came due when he left college.

Joshua hopes to use his talent as an editor to earn enough money to pay his debts and return to school in the spring of 2013. Though I have pledged all my royalties, my savings, and my retirement to his cause it isn't nearly enough. But a dear friend, and fellow erotic author Eden Baylee set up a fund to raise money for Joshua – #IndiesUnite4Joshua – and the Indie community has rallied to the cause.

The Indies Unite for Joshua campaign on IndieGoGo.com is a huge success so far – with authors, editors, and scores of others donating books and services which are being offered to supporters. The outpouring of love and support by my fellow writers and their fans is astounding. If you would like to support Joshua in his battle against Leukemia, or learn more about the campaign, please take a moment to visit Indies Unite for Joshua.
You can also click the link below to donate directly and leave a message of encouragement for Joshua. Everyone donating, either through the link below or through Indies Unite for Joshua will receive a free copy of one of my eBooks. And, as I mentioned before, ALL royalties from any of my book sells goes directly to Joshua's medical bills and student loans.

Please stand with us and help a brilliant young man battle Leukemia and return to finish his studies. If you cannot offer financial assistance please tweet, post, link, like, or otherwise promote the cause. The love, prayers, thoughts, and all around good vibes from the virtual community has held us up more than anything else.

Thank you in advance for your support.

“Cum for me Bri.” Commanded Clay tapping her swollen clit sending her over.
Screaming his name, he watched her soar in ecstasy. Only then did he relinquish the control he had been tightly holding.

Broadway Getaway

When Lance learned that the Broadway musical, The Lion King, would be at The Mahalia Jackson Theater in New Orleans, he knew that this would be the perfect weekend getaway for him and Callie. Their honeymoon plans had been postponed by the crisis of Bri’s attempted abduction, and Lance felt it was now time to do something special for Callie away from Love’s Bayou.
After receiving the blessing of all the other Masters, Lance and Callie traveled to the Crescent City, they checked into their hotel, had an early supper, and departed for the theater.
From the time the curtain went up until the final curtain, Callie was mesmerized. The lavish costumes, scenery, and magnificent voices of the actors was breathtaking. Callie and Lance happily joined the rest of the audience in a standing ovation for the cast.

Using Real Historical Facts to Enhance a Story

While I was researching World War I events to write For Love of Banjo, I came across some very interesting actual events that would work perfectly in this story.  I needed an element that would connect Banjo to his Western heritage and his love of horses.  Before he was a soldier, he was a cowboy.  He had a great love of big skies, green hills, freedom and horses.  I knew that this early twenty-first century period was one of transition.  While automobiles had become more numerous in society and electricity began to light the streets in big cities and homes, the greater number of people still used kerosene lanterns and used horses for transportation and work.    Even though World War I saw the introduction of airplanes and tanks, horses were still used to transport soldiers and weapons.

The Insignia of the Fifteenth Regiment Calvary

I found that The Fifteenth Regiment Calvary from the United States, formed in 1901 saw battles in the jungles of the Philippines against savage Moros where the spirit of the Regiment was forged in fire and blood.  The Regiment part of the Cuban Pacification from 1906-1909 and found duty along the Mexican border and the hunt for Poncho Villa from December 1917 to March 1918.  The Regiment sailed to France to become became part of the war effort.  The Fifteenth Regiment has a very interesting history.  Although an active cavalry, respected and honored,  the Fifteenth Regiment Calvary was deactivated October 18, 1921 due to cutbacks in the Regular Army following “the Great War.”  The horses were not honored as war veterans and allowed to live out their lives in peace.  Many of them were put down—corralled and shot.  Some did find their way to other uses and a decent life.  In March, 1942, the Fifteenth Regiment Calvary was recalled to duty to serve in World War II.  The Regiment moved deep into Germany and, by the war’s end, the Fifteenth Calvary had taken almost 7,000 german prisoners and had destroyed 78 guns and 495 enemy vehicles. I am happy to say that the Fifteenth Calvary remains active  today.

For Love of Banjo by Sarah j. McNeal
Western Trail Blazers

The first thing Banjo does when he enters the battlefield in France riding in on his horse, Ajax, is to save the life of a man who has fought in the trenches for months.  The man he saves isn’t just any minor character.  Donald Douglas was the brother of John Douglas from my book, The Violin.  The collision of timely events was just too good to miss.  I used a short excerpt from the scene where Banjo saves Donald’s life with a few spoilers removed.
Blurb:
Deceit stands between Banjo Wilding’s love for Maggie O’Leary and his search for the father he never knew.
Blurb:
Banjo Wilding wears a borrowed name and bears the scars and reputation of a lurid past.  To earn the right to ask for Margaret O’Leary’s hand, he must find his father and make something of himself.
Margaret O’Leary has loved Banjo since she was ten years old but standing between her and Banjo is pride, Banjo’s mysterious father and the Great War.
Will either of them find happiness?

Excerpt:
He peered at the soldiers of the cavalry seated crisply dressed on their magnificent horses—horses rigorously trained for battle. His stern features lit for moments by the light of mortar fire revealed a mix of military discipline and somber purpose. "Chaplain Morrison will give us a moment of devotion before we ride."
Banjo bowed his head and closed his eyes in prayer, but he didn't hear the chaplain's words. His own prayer echoed in his mind. Please God, if I fall, take care of Maggie and my family. That's all I ask.
When the prayer ended, Colonial Hay gave the last command. "God go with you." He raised his arm in a final salute then shouted. "Now ride!"
Banjo nudged Ajax into a hard run. "Come on Ajax. Give it all you got, boy." The horse galloped past those that fell. Horses screamed in agony as bullets found them. Men cried out and fell to the ground with mortal wounds. Ajax sped forward, the trench just a few more yards ahead. Banjo's heart raced, his breath hitched. Ajax moved like the wind, solid muscle and bravery beneath him. When they reached the trench, the stench of it gagged Banjo. He reined in Ajax to a halt. A quick glance around told him only half the Regiment made it...
Banjo dismounted, grabbed his kit and gear, then spoke his last words to his faithful horse. "You take this soldier out of this hell and back to his loved ones. You're a good horse, Ajax. You take care of yourself now."
Banjo patted him one last time on the withers then hurried to the ladder and made his way down into the pit. The soldiers in the trench were filthy and their smell almost made him retch. Their faces lit up when they saw him. Someone's freedom had arrived. Banjo took a young soldier by the arm who couldn't have been more than eighteen years of age. His face barely recognizable as human for the dirt and mud caked on it.
"What's your name, soldier? Where do you call home?" Banjo had to raise his voice to a shout over the din of noise that surrounded him.
"Corporal Donald Lee Douglas, Sir, Thirty-second Battalion, Eighty-fifth Infantry Division under General Parker. We've been fighting here with the Brits' East Surrey Regiment under Robert Sherriff. My home is Numidia, Pennsylvania." The lad saluted Banjo.
. . . "I hope you know how to ride a horse, Douglas. Just ride west for the tree line and you'll be out of range." Banjo clapped him on the shoulder. "Now get the hell out of here before they shoot my horse."
"Yes, Sir...I mean Sergeant." He started up the ladder but paused on the fifth rail and turned to Banjo. "What did you say your name was? I don't want to forget so I can tell my folks the name of the man who saved my life."
"It's Banjo Wilding. Now get going, Corporal Douglas, before daylight catches you."
The lad smiled. "Thank you, I won't forget you—not ever." Then the young soldier hurried up the ladder and out of sight. Banjo heard Ajax whinny and then the sound of a horse gallop away headed west.

Holiday at Club Amour

Welcome to my Hoppy blog post. Be sure and visit everyone on the Hoppy Blog Hop.

At Club Amour, the Masters have their own special way to celebrate the holiday. Each subbie is given a vibrating bullet disguised as an decorative egg. They are told by their Masters to insert the egg and are given strict instructions they are not allowed to orgasm.
Little do the subbies know that the Masters all carry a wireless remote control. When they are in close proximity to any remote, their egg will start to vibrate when the remote is activated.
All the Masters have a good laugh as they watch the subbies wiggle, squirm, and hop.

For a chance to win the bracelet post a comment stating if you think the Masters are too sadistic in their holiday games.

Bri’s Birthday Surprise

Bri’s Birthday Surprise
There are a lot of birthdays to celebrate this month. Besides Carrie Ann’s, the coordinator of the Birthday Hop, mine and Bri’s are also this month.

Clay and Blade surprise Bri with a weekend getaway to a secluded coastal resort since the beach is one of her favorite places. The reservations included exclusive use of a cottage surrounded on three sides by a six-foot privacy fence.
French doors in the bedroom open to a deck with steps leading to the inviting white sands beach.
Bri had been aware as she exited the car that the only sounds she heard was those of the seagulls and lapping waves.
The sun was low on the horizon when they arrived, and the wind, was a salty tang, was cool as it caressed her face.
Both men had accompany her into the cottage, reminding her that here, as well as at home, nudity was the dress code for her.

For a chance to win the bracelet post a comment stating how you would like to spend your birthday.

If Lust Could Speak
By Raavee

Thus I speak for lust
And My tongue roams your body
The deep crevasses
Your mound
And the silken folds within
Your mouth pursed in suppressed joy
And nose flaring in happy anguish
Your breasts heaving in unison
In anticipation of the coming storm

What Do Women Really Want ~ A Guide For Men

Two of my friends April LeDeux and Shirley Lee, wrote a guide for men, What Do Women Really Want. This book is funny, straight to the point, and written in plain language that any man can understand.
Topics range from meeting, dating, attitudes, to sexual performance.
If you know a man that has trouble meeting, dating, or keeping a woman, recommend this book. While no book can guarantee success with women, this one might increase a man’s chances.

An excerpt from the chapter, Don’t Think With Your Little Head.

Yes, some women fake it. Be considerate and know what you are doing and get your partner to cum before you. Good guys do finish last.
Don't start something you can't finish. If you can't get it up, don't whip it out.
She will be more likely to enjoy giving you head and swallow when your semen tastes better. For sweeter tasting semen, eat more…
Read the book for more tips.
